The kids\u2019 travelling was provided by the Foundation\u2019s and the local Reformed Church\u2019s microbuses in this year too. The home of the camp was also the local Reformed Church\u2019s court and community house. The main goal of the camp was to present the financial culture, to help understanding how the economy works and to make it easier the students\u2019 catching up and the integration of those who come from the most difficult backgrounds. We would like to contribute to the students\u2019 development by the financial education in order to form a positive image of themselves and to find a successful and productive life path.<\/p>\n<p>All educational materials, textbook, workbook and the board game of Compass to Finances were granted to the students by the P\u00e9nzir\u00e1nyt\u0171 Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Various educational methods were applied during the Camp, like team work, community building activities, focusing on Roma traditions and culture, and as well sport activities. It was important to consider the range of the students\u2019 ages when we organized the curriculum. The youngest kid was 6 years old, the oldest kid was 16. Many of them were waiting for this event since the previous year\u2019s camp.<\/p>\n<p>It was important for us to give experiences to these students who live in deep poverty. It was also significant how we can motivate them in forming their understanding of studying.<\/p>\n<p>We are convinced that the students learn the idea that with financial knowledge even the everyday money matters are much easier.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Summer Camp was more popular than the previous years\u2019 camps. Every day more than 100 kids came to the Camp including the financial classes.<\/p>\n<p>During the Camp Eszter Tak\u00e1csn\u00e9 Varga religious education teacher helped the students in discussing their questions.<\/p>\n<p>The Camp accomplished its goals from the angle of education of students who live in deep poverty.
