Cultural and Knowledge Dissemination Days

Under the aegis of Project Chance Group II, the Transcharpathian volunteers of the Financial Literacy Summer Camp could participate with two of their fellow scholarship-holders, who had never been earlier in Budapest, so seven students and one teacher could participate in the Cultural and Knowledge Dissemination Days in Budapest, in 2018. This occasion’s goal was to get to know outstanding cultural and historical monuments and pieces of art.

The group visited the reconstructed Budapest’s Old City Hall and the statue of Pallas Athena. After visiting the Matthew Church and the Holy Trinity Statue, the next stop was at the Castle Garden which had a great impact on the students. The main event of these days was the visit of Kovásznai Avantgard Animation & Painting exhibition in the Ybl Creative House Buda. The high quality paintings and animations of the exhibition grabbed everybody’s imagination which was not only a unique visual experience, but also rich in information. After the exhibition, the group also admired by The Jumping Lion Statue of Szőke Gábor Miklós.

On one of the evenings, the group visited the Normafa, one of Budapest’s famous hiking places. As a leisure activity, the group visited a 4DX cinema in a popular shopping mall which was also a well-liked event, because these students has no chance to go to cinema in Transcarpathia, so visiting a cinema is also a very rare moment in their life.

All in all, the scholarship-holders had a rich and interesting program during these days.
