  • “I am participating in extracurricular activities next to my university studies as well. I became the member of the Márton Áron College’s Law and Social Sciences Workshop. In association with this membership, I had the privilege to conduct a research on the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine. The results of this research was published by a Transcarpathian Student Organization (KMDFKSZ) in their review called “Scientia Denique” in late August, 2018. I had also the opportunity to present my research at the Conference of the Carpathian Basin Summer School in July, 2018. I have also successfully applied for a one-month long internship at the Human Sciences Research House of the Hungarian Academy of Science in July, 2018. During this internship, I did a research in constitutional law focusing the current development of presidential system in Ukraine. I am committed to continue this research to present it at the National Scientific Studens’ Associations Conference during the spring of 2019. I am also going to study at the Mathias Corvinus Collegium’s Central Europe program from September, 2018. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for being part of the Project for three years.”

  • “For me, all the things, that the Foundation managed to complete, mean that we – who living on the other side of the border – got chance to achieve our dreams and goals. I am a university student and managed to finish successfully both of my joint programs. Next to my studies, I volunteered to participate in a civil organization in Ungvar, namely the Association of Transcarpathian Students and Young Researchers. We are active to organize cultural and recreational events for the Hungarian students of Ungvár. I am also participating in the Eötvös Loránd University’s Márton Áron College; in its Law and Social Sciences Research Workshop, I have conducted a research on the political situation of the Hungarians in Transcarpathia in 2005-2006 under the wise guidance of my mentor. In the last academic year, I also had the privilege to present this research at two conferences. In the future, I am thinking about I might apply for doctoral studies, because my goal is to work for the Hungarians living in Transcarpathia and abroad.”

    Ingrid Lőrinc, university student,
    National University of Ungvar, Ukraine

  • “I took my maturity exam this year at the Bethlen Gábor Hungarian High School in Beregszász. I am participating in the Foundation’s Project for three years and I am a scholarship holder for two years. This scholarship meant a lot to me in financing my preparation for my university studies. Among other things, I was able to register for advanced level maturity exam thanks to this stipend. It also helped me to cover the costs of my English private lessons. I also could save some money for the beginning of my university studies. My hobby is software development and this is more than a hobby, it is my future goal; I hope I can found my own software development company.”

  • “I took my maturity exam this year, I have received laudations for my Mathematics and English performance. I also received a golden medal award at the end of my high school studies. I also managed to achieve outstanding results in study competitions, especially in Ukraine language, Hungarian language (in the district and in regional), English language (also in the district and in regional). I am participating in the Chance Project since 2016. Now my plan is to deepen my knowledge in computer programming. The participation in this Project triggered the best and most pleasant emotions inside me.”

    Adrián Csizsevszki, university student,
    National University of Ungvár, Ukraine

  • “I applied for Mathematics and Architect education at National University of Ungvár. In my application, the Chance Project’s scholarship helped a lot, because this covered my private lessons almost completely, so I was able to achieve really good results at the maturity exam and, thanks to God, I was able to get state scholarships for both degree programs.

I am a scholarship holder at the Project for two years. My hobby is taking photos. I also bought a camera from the scholarship and I did a three-month long photographer course. I am also considering to do the physical education teacher degree, in order to increase my flexibility to get a job.”

Antónia Nagy, Nagydobrony, August in 2017

  • “The Project’s financial aid is a big help for my private lessons and purchasing a laptop. The help of Fundation was unimaginable for me and my family, the thing that there are people who selflessly work on that the people living in Transcapathia can live a little bit better and can achieve our future plans.”

Máté Gál, Kisdobrony, July in 2017

  • “In order to absolve my Ukranian and Hungarian maturity exames, I took private lessons in more subjects. The Poject’s financial aid was very helpful for my family to finance these lessons. In addition, I needed chemistry and biology textbooks for the exam which I could buy from the aid. Your support helped to increase my knowledge, a knowledge that I couldn’t have a chance to acquire.”

Violetta Benedek, Nagydobrony, July in 2017

  • “I was admitted to the Ukranian National University’s Faculty of Physics, my major is micro-nano electronics. For my studies I need to purchase diagnostic devices (oscillographs, multimeter stc.) to analyze electronic components (like trasistors, condensers, microcontrollers). The Project’s financial aid is a big help in this. I hope my achievements may motivate others, because in my opinion, knowledge is value.”
